Foster Crossing is named for the family that lived near where the railroad was built across a farm lane in the 1850's. Both the farm lane (now County Road 366) and the railroad (now DART) are still in place.

The Luscombe family pioneers began farming in the area around 1875 and a group of their descendants still live in an enclave on Foster Crossing Road, with one of the finest views in Collin County, from "The Hill".

The family planted paper shell pecans and now has more than 500 improved variety trees and numerous grand native pecan trees, some estimated to be hundreds of years old.

In 2006, Robyn Luscombe bought the machinery from the Melissa Pecan Cracking Company and moved it to her shop at the top of The Hill.

You are invited to come visit with us, help crack pecans, sit on the porch, watch the sunset and share in our bounty.
